eNACHLite is Here: Digio Powers the Next Generation of Recurring Payments
NPCI’s eNACHLite framework enables seamless in-app registration, modification, pausing, and cancellation of e-mandates. Discover how Digio’s NPCI-tested MSP and ASP solutions help merchants and TPAPs go live faster.
Recurring payments in India just got a major upgrade, and Digio is ready from day one.
At the recently concluded 2026 Edition of GFF (Global Fintech Fest), the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) unveiled eNACHLite, a new framework that reimagines how merchants can create and manage electronic mandates.
For the first time, merchants can create, modify, pause, or cancel e-mandates without ever being redirected from an app to a web browser, a friction point that has long dragged down mandate success rates.
Digio, an NPCI-certified Technology Service Provider (TSP), partnered with NPCI on this initiative to demonstrate the eNACHLite system.
What Changes with eNACHLite?
Under the enhanced NACH ONMAGS framework, NPCI has introduced a new module that lets users register mandates through their preferred Third-Party Application Provider (TPAP), the same apps they already use and trust for everyday payments.
The journey is simple:
- The merchant generates a mandate QR code or deep link from their own app or webpage when the user is on their mobile device.
- The customer scans the QR or taps the link, and picks their preferred TPAP.
- The TPAP fetches the mandate details from ONMAGS, which retrieves them from the merchant.
- The customer reviews and authorizes the mandate within the TPAP, authenticating with their destination bank via their chosen auth mode.
- The final status is displayed in the TPAP and confirmed back to the merchant.
No browser redirections. No app-hopping. No custom, merchant-by-merchant integrations. Just a standardized, interoperable mandate journey that ends where it began - inside the customer's favourite app.
The result: better customer experience, fewer journey drop-offs, and meaningfully higher mandate conversion rates.
Digio's Role: MSP and ASP, Ready on Day One
Digio is positioned at both ends of this new ecosystem.
As a Merchant Service Provider (MSP), Digio onboards merchants onto the eNACHLite framework and enables them to generate mandate QR codes and deep links directly from their own applications or web pages. Merchants continue to manage mandate creation through ONMAGS, while Digio handles the heavy lifting of integration, compliance, and go-live.
As an Application Service Provider (ASP), Digio is ready to onboard TPAPs onto the eNACHLite journey, with no additional certification required from NPCI. TPAPs can plug into Digio's pre-certified, fully tested stack and start offering in-app mandate registration to their users almost immediately.
Having completed end-to-end testing with NPCI, Digio offers ecosystem players the fastest, lowest-risk path to eNACHLite readiness.
Why This Matters
Recurring payments power everything from SIPs and insurance premiums to subscriptions and loan EMIs. Every drop-off in the mandate journey is lost revenue for merchants and a lost customer relationship. By bringing mandate authorization into the TPAP, aligned with NPCI's Enhanced TPAP Customer Journey framework, eNACHLite removes the single biggest source of friction in mandate creation.
Digio's early partnership with NPCI on eNACHLite reflects our continued commitment to building the rails of India's digital payments infrastructure, from eNACH to UPI AutoPay and now eNACHLite.
Ready to go live on eNACHLite? Whether you're a merchant looking to boost mandate success rates or a TPAP looking to offer in-app mandate registration, Digio can get you there.
